"Paul has been a photographer since about
the age of 3," his mother explains, telling stories of Paul Gish, "laying
in the grass for hours with my old Brownie camera in front of a flower,
waiting for a bug to land." Since then, he has flown from his native state
of Colorado to explore and photograph the world, to see what life has
          to offer.

He earned his BFA with an emphasis in photography, and a minor in Spanish
from Colorado State University. He discovered the beauty of Spain while
studying Spanish and working there for two years in San Sebastian and
Barcelona. He worked with Sports Illustrated during the '92 Barcelona
Olympic Games. One of his best photos made a double page spread in the
table of contents. He traveled throughout Europe, photographing the people
and festivals that make it such an exciting place to be. In 1993, he made
a stop in New York, and has been living there ever since.

His travels continued, though, working on corporate shoots and doing personal
projects. His tri-lingual skills in English, Spanish, and Portuguese,
make him comfortable with any group of people, and respectful of their
      beliefs.

On a trip to Brazil, photographing the Amazon Rain Forest, he met his
future wife, Ana, in Manaus. Overcoming the odds, and Immigration, they
were married in Colorado in 1999. "That was the most wonderful day of
my life, and I bring that experience with me every time I photograph a
          wedding."
Paul has been a member of ASMP (American Society of Media Photographers) since 1993.
